John & Sarah Hawkins' Wedding in Lynchburg, Virginia

I can still remember the first day I saw John Hawkins. I went out with some friends to a small backyard show in Lynchburg and John was one of the performers that night. He read a few of his poems, and I remember thinking, who is this crazy guy?! He read with such energy and enthusiasm, and his words rang out like no other poetry I had ever heard. He was talented, that's for sure. Anyone who knows John Hawkins would agree that he is one of a kind. He lights up the room everywhere he goes and he inspires others to create without hesitation and to be yourself no matter what. Over the years I've gotten to know him much better and I still feel the same way about him. He's original, he's kind and he's absolutely hilarious. My boyfriend, Chris, and John have worked together on a few different small musical projects and he has never failed to astound me. I cannot say enough about John and what a great person he is. Sarah on the other hand, is equally as incredible. The first time I met Sarah I knew she was completely, 100% perfect for John. I can honestly say I've never known a couple that was meant to be with each other more than these two. Sarah is beautiful in every way. She's silly, independent, warm-hearted and just plain lovely to be around. I'm so lucky to know them both, and it was an honor to be a part of their wedding. I could not be happier that they found each other and that I was there to witness the magic. They are a real life example of true love, and are the King and Queen of crazy dance parties. Don't believe me? Take a look at a few of the photos below!

From what I've heard, the night they first met was kind of amazing. John spotted Sarah across the room dancing and was immediately drawn to her. They danced epically for hours and the rest is history. Sounds about right to me! :) John and Sarah's wedding in Lynchburg, Virginia took place at Riverviews Artspace. Chris was the DJ at their wedding as well, and was also partially responsible for the crazy dance party that occurred. :) Chris and I have quite a few weddings coming up that we are working on together, so if you are in need of a photographer and a DJ, we can offer you a great deal! Please feel free to shoot me a message here and we can go over details!

Congratulations Sarah and John! I love you both!

There are quite a few Holga photos and polaroids at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check those out as well! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Molly & Adam's Wedding at McMenamin's Cornelius Pass Roadhouse

Molly & Adam's wedding was filled with love and cute kids.  I couldn't help but snap away at the silly expressions of the children all day long! It took place at McMenamin's Cornelius Pass Roadhouse at the Octagonal Barn. Their wedding was rustic-themed with a modern twist of colors and adorable details. Molly and Adam have known each other for over 15 years and dated when they were in high school! They went their separate ways for a while, but I guess true love found it's way! Congratulations Molly & Adam!

Published in Coco Magazine's Debut Bridal Issue!

I can't tell you how excited I am that a selection of my photographs from my recent shoot with Cassie Meder were PUBLISHED in Coco Magazine's Debut Bridal Issue! This is the first time I've ever been published, and I can hardly believe it! Life has been absolutely insane lately. I've lived in Portland for almost a year now and it's crazy how many doors have been opened and how much I've learned. There is so much competition here and so many amazing photographers. I'm inspired every day and I'm in awe of the sincerity and kindness that I've come across in this whole process. While there have been a few rough patches, the majority of interactions I've had have been overwhelmingly positive and I'm starting to feel like I was meant to be here all along! My shoot with Cassie started with a more ghostly concept in mind, it ended up being perfect for Coco Magazine's Bridal Issue. You can view the full set of photos (and all of the other amazing editorials) on pages 106-113 HERE!!

It also helped that I had such an incredible team for this shoot! I couldn't have done it without those girls!
