I can still remember the first day I saw John Hawkins. I went out with some friends to a small backyard show in Lynchburg and John was one of the performers that night. He read a few of his poems, and I remember thinking, who is this crazy guy?! He read with such energy and enthusiasm, and his words rang out like no other poetry I had ever heard. He was talented, that's for sure. Anyone who knows John Hawkins would agree that he is one of a kind. He lights up the room everywhere he goes and he inspires others to create without hesitation and to be yourself no matter what. Over the years I've gotten to know him much better and I still feel the same way about him. He's original, he's kind and he's absolutely hilarious. My boyfriend, Chris, and John have worked together on a few different small musical projects and he has never failed to astound me. I cannot say enough about John and what a great person he is. Sarah on the other hand, is equally as incredible. The first time I met Sarah I knew she was completely, 100% perfect for John. I can honestly say I've never known a couple that was meant to be with each other more than these two. Sarah is beautiful in every way. She's silly, independent, warm-hearted and just plain lovely to be around. I'm so lucky to know them both, and it was an honor to be a part of their wedding. I could not be happier that they found each other and that I was there to witness the magic. They are a real life example of true love, and are the King and Queen of crazy dance parties. From what I've heard, the night they first met was kind of amazing. John spotted Sarah across the room dancing and was immediately drawn to her. They danced epically for hours and the rest is history. Sounds about right to me! :) John and Sarah's wedding in Lynchburg, Virginia took place at Riverviews Artspace. Chris was the DJ at their wedding as well, and was also partially responsible for the crazy dance party that occurred. :) Chris and I have quite a few weddings coming up that we are working on together, so if you are in need of a photographer and a DJ, we can offer you a great deal!
