This shoot with Laurin was the first one of 2014. I have to admit, I was a little nervous. I took a break from photography while I was home for the holidays. Last year was pretty crazy and overwhelming for me, but I'm going into 2014 with so much more knowledge and strength than last year. I've realized that my toughest battle is with myself, and if I can control my thoughts and stay positive, I'll be in a much better place. I have amazing support and I can't thank you all enough. I've faced so many fears in the last two years. Fears that I thought I would never challenge. Sometimes it's difficult to remember how many things I've accomplished when I'm focusing on all of the things I'm still facing. This year is already shaping up to be pretty epic. I have a ton of exciting opportunities on the horizon and I'm finally feeling ready to take it all on. I hope you stay with me through this journey. :)

She Shreds Magazine Cover! | Portland, Oregon photographer

I couldn't be more excited that one of my photos ended up on the cover of the most recent She Shreds issue. If you haven't heard of She Shreds, it's seriously awesome. It's a magazine dedicated to female guitarists. Every issue has super cool interviews with amazing musicians. I have a few other photos scattered throughout the issue, and I hope I get to do more in the future. It's pretty inspiring being around such talented ladies. Girl power!

Before the holidays I did a shoot with Sister Thyme, a super talented model and artist in Portland. I was even more excited when Dream Factory Magazine contacted me about using my work for their 3rd issue and this shoot was perfect for it! You can order the issue here!
